TPS Surfing Team

On the 16th of March our TPS Surfing Team of 3 competed in the BOP Primary Schools Surfing Competition.  All three competed hard and represented the school well.  Rumour has it that they are so inspired by the event they started training for the 2013 competition the very next day. Well Done Xavi Taele, Rory Goodchap and Brady Anderson (travelling reserve George Goodchap).

Year 6 Writing

I had the pleasure of reading some wonderful  poems written by the writing group who have been working with Mrs. Hughes this term.  Some skilful use of personification (objects or nonhuman organisms are given human characteristics) and simile are evident in the descriptions of innate objects such as a tree in the playground.  Well done

The soldier in the field stands tall and proud

Watching the children as they grow through their years

The tree is like a grandfather

Protecting and caring for the school

Room 2 Mihi

Today three gorgeous girls came and shared their Mihi with me, to go along side this learning, they had also made a visual representation of their Whanau.   Kia ora  girls, you made my day.
