Throughout the year we offer different sports depending on the season.
All year 3-6 children are given the opportunity to join in and be part of a school team.
Term 1 Sports
• Flippaball – Kid’s version of Water Polo, played at Memorial Pools on Tuesday nights.
• Volleyball – 4 a side Kiwi volleyball, played at QEYC on Friday nights 4.30pm on wards.

Term 2 and Term 3 Sports
• Netball – Year 3 and 4 play at Harbourside on Thursday’s after school 4pm, Year 5 and 6 play on Saturday mornings from 9.00am.
• Miniball – Played on Friday nights at either QRYC or the Mount Action Centre.
• Hockey - Minkey Hockey is played on Saturday mornings for year 1 and 2 at Tauranga Boys College, and Hockey for year 3 -6 is played Saturday mornings over at Blake Park hockey turfs.
Term 4 Sports
• Flippaball – Kid’s version of Water Polo, played at Memorial Pools on Tuesday nights.
• Volleyball – 4 a side Kiwi volleyball, played at QEYC on Friday nights 4.30pm on wards.
• Kiwi Tag – Played on Tuesday nights at Waipuna Park from 4.30pm. A non tackle game of league using rippa tags.

All of our out of school teams run with the help of parents and without this help we are unable to enter teams. There are plenty of opportunities to do coaching courses throughout the year.

Throughout the year we also have school teams representing as in,

Cross Country Running, Swimming, Athletics’, Gym, Chess, Triathlon, Golf, Rugby, Soccer, Badminton, Top Schools, Young Einstein’s, Jump Jam, Funky Fun Days, Tennis.
We take pride in over 90% of all our year 3-6 are involved in sport at Tauranga Primary School.
