KnowledgeNET

As part of Tauranga Primary School’s strategic direction to meet the challenges and  opportunities of teaching and learning in the 21st century we have established a secure  web-based “learning system” called KnowledgeNET. 

KnowledgeNET enables us to facilitate:

• Private access to classroom information, every student will log on with a unique username and password.  This site is not open to the general public.
• Effective and efficient communication between home and school.
• Shared learning between student, teacher and home.
• 24/7 access anywhere, anytime.
• Access to over 1000 ‘digital learning objects’ in a fully searchable library that students can manipulate and experiment with.

Tauranga Primary will focus on teachers, students and parents becoming familiar with how to use KnowledgeNET.  Therefore, initially we will be utilising the following functions, this will include:

• Class page - this will include Literacy and Numeracy links appropriate to the students
• Student Individual Page - viewable to the student, parents and TPS staff.  Students maintain this themselves.
• login page with a school calendar of events maintained.
• access to the digital learning objects.
