Middle Syndicate Visits the Steamers Rugby Team
Today it was a special day, we were going to Baypark to watch the Steamers train. We jumped in our cars and off we went. When we got there we had our morning tea in the car park, it was not the best but it was ok. After we had finished Ross, the Steamers team manager took us on a tour of the stadium. We went in changing room 1 and changing room 2, it was a bit smelly in there! After that we went in the gym. Finally we watched the Steamers train. When they had finished we were allowed to get autographs before we went back to school.

On Friday Room 4 went to see the Steamers! It was awesome! First we ate our morning tea in the middle of a carpark, how crazy is that? Then we met the person who was going to show us around, his name was Ross. He showed us the Steamers changing room. It was so messy I can’t even describe it. Next we went to where they have all their team meetings. I was surprised to see three computers in the meeting room! After a while we went to the gym where they trained. The weights were gigantic! Finally we went to watch the team train. The forwards had to push a big plank with two people standing on it. While the forwards were doing that, the backs were playing a game to practice their passes and moves. Then we got autographs. Some of the autographs had smiley faces on them. What creative autographs they were. Then we went back to school. That was a brilliant day!

Yippee its today i’m going to the bay park stadium to watch the steamers training.I ran table, got dressed, grabbed my camera and a shirt to get signed and ran to the car as fast as lightening! As soon as I got to school we set off to bay park stadium. After what felt like 100000 years we were there! And it was morning tea. When I was half way through my lunch I saw some people coming out of the gym it was the steamers! The last person who came out shook my hand I swore I would never wash that hand again! After that we went to go see changing room one and we put our bag away. Next we went to the steamers changing room and there were lollies to keep their energy up. I also learnt that they take baths full of ice to get rid of the blisters. After that we went to see the steamers training! As soon as they finished I grabbed as many photos as I could and I got the whole team to sign my shirt. I had the best day ever!
